Lakers Clip the Hawks

It was a total team effort last night as the Lakers cruised to a 96-83 victory. The Lakers got back in the win column last night. L.A. coasted as the Lakers had a 25 point lead at the end of the third quarter. Six Lakers scored in double figures led by Lamar Odom with 15 points and 20 rebounds. Fisher had 14 and Kobe had a season low 10 points. Pau Gasol put together a triple double with 12 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. The Lakers got 37 points off the bench led by Trevor Ariza and Jordan Farmar with 10 apiece. The Lakers starters were able to sit out the entire 4th quarter and watch the game. The Hawks appeared overmatched all night. L.A. took advantage of their significant size advantage inside. Atlanta was led by Joe Johnson with 14 and Josh Smith with 13.

The Lakers don't have much time to enjoy this win as they play Golden State tonight at 10:30pm. This should be an easy win for L.A. as the Warriors are not that talented and should be rusty from the long layoff.
