Lakers Trade Radmanovic

The Lakers traded Vladimir Radmanovic to the Charlotte Bobcats for Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown. Radmanovic averaged 6 ppg as the small forward position for the Lakers. He started the season at small forward but over the season Radmanovic has seen his playing time diminish as Luke Walton and Trevor Ariza have picked up the bulk of his minutes. Radmanovic has barely played at all since Andrew Bynum was hurt. Morrison has had a rough time in Charlotte since being drafted in the 1st round averaging less than 5 ppg. He has been a major disappointment with his poor shooting and even worse defense.

I think this trade might work for the Lakers. This is a low risk high reward move for L.A. Morrison only has another year on his deal and the Lakers gain salary cap flexibility. Plus if Morrison can consistently knock down jump shots he can help stretch defenses for Kobe. If not the Lakers really didn't give up much and got rid of a bloated contract. Shannon Brown is a throw in to make the deal work and another expiring contract.
