NBA Hall of Fame Finalists

The Basketball Hall of Fame released it list of the 2009 finalists. This is my take. Michael Jordan, David Robinson and John Stockton are first ballot Hall of Famers without a doubt. Dennis Johnson and Bernard King were good players who had some really good seasons but they are not Hall of Famers. They belong in the Hall of the Very Good. Jerry Sloan is a Hall of Fame Coach. Don Nelson is not. Chris Mullin is borderline but not a Hall of Famer. He belongs in the class with Dan Majerle and Tom Chambers. A really good player who had some All Star seasons but was never the man on his own team. The other players that are nominated were way before my team so I cannot speak to their credentials.
